#6: Adopt, Don’t Shop

A lot of little kids dream of having a dog, but this comic is a very dark twist on that childhood dream we’ve all had. Imagine getting something you’ve wanted for a long time at the cost of finding out a dark family secret. Maybe this dad felt like this was the right moment to break out the news since they were already on the topic of adoption.

I guess there isn’t really a right way or a right time to tell a kid he’s adopted. It’s always going to come as a shock, no matter how you break the news. However, this dad probably dropped this bomb and the worst moment and pretty much ruined his happy memory for this kid forever.
