Kit Harington will always have a place in our hearts as the ruggedly handsome Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. But did you know that his luscious locks were actually contractually obligated? That’s right, Kit was required to keep his hair long for the entire duration of the show in order to maintain his character’s signature look.

Hey, when you’re the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, you can’t be rocking a buzz cut. But can you imagine the upkeep on all that hair? That’s some serious dedication to the role.
