#2: A Mean Winning Streak
Many football players and fans have superstitious rituals or items that they employ to bring them good luck before a game. We want to know the good luck ritual for the University of Oklahoma because they hold the longest winning streak in college football history. Between 1953 and 1957, the Oklahoma Sooners didn’t lose or tie a single game.

This winning streak brings in their record at 47 consecutive games. It’s wild to think that the Sooners were undefeated for literal years. So, which team finally brought them down a notch? None other than the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Their coach, Bud Wilkinson, coached the Sooners through another winning streak before this record-breaking one. Three years before their 47-game streak, the team had an impressive 31-game winning streak.
