#38: Stay in School

This next one also feels like it’d be hard to deny the truth. I’m not sure if the person who wrote this was thinking of a particular aspect of the educational system, but all you have to do is look at teaching as a profession to know that something has gone terribly wrong.

It’s getting harder and harder for schools to find teachers, because of a combination of fewer people becoming teachers and more teachers burning out and leaving the profession after a few years. And why wouldn’t they? The pay is bad, the students are little monsters, and the parents are even bigger monsters. You’d have to pay me a million dollars to be a teacher.
