#10: The Ripe Old Age of 35
This next one is a fact that I have heard in other places as well. Life expectancy values for olden times can be misleading because they include infants, and infant mortality rates used to be quite high. I mean, they’re still higher than we’d like, but it used to be worse.

But has anyone ever actually thought that 35 is elderly? I mean, even in medieval times? That’s one I have a hard time believing. I hope no one thinks that, anyway, because that would make me elderly.
