Who needs leaves anyway?
From a distance, the photographer wasn’t sure what they were looking at. Why did this leafless tree have gray cotton-ball-like figures on its branches? But only after zooming into the scene did the photographer realize that those puffy balls were actually birds.

We thought all birds migrated to the south during wintertime. Apparently, these birds have enough fat to stick around when it’s chilly outside. Seeing as how these little fellas are as round as Angry Birds, we’re guessing they have more than enough blubber to stay warm. We’re amazed by how the photographer managed to get this shot without scaring the birds away. Maybe they’re frozen in place?
