Devil’s Advocate

As if math wasn’t hard enough with just numbers, they had to complicate things by adding letters into the mix. This painting is called The Preaching of the Antichrist, a famous fresco painting by Renaissance painter Luca Signorelli. In the center of the painting, you can see the devil whispering what he has to say.

We can imagine the devil suggested they add the alphabet to math. You can probably tell by now math wasn’t our favorite subject in school.
