Wouldn’t it be funny if that’s the dialogue this medieval artist had in mind when painting this picture? That would make us view classical art in a completely different light. We’re only kidding, of course; we know this has nothing to do with the story behind this painting, but it just seems to fit so perfectly.

Girls can be catty and mean towards one another sometimes, and while it’s usually all in good humor, you can often sense some resentment to these remarks. It’s not only girls, though; men can be just as catty and mean when they don’t like a person, but often, they’d be more straightforward about it.
