For some of us, joining in on a conversation at a large social event (and even a small social event) is not easy. Especially for the introverts among us (including yours truly), finding the right moment to join a conversation, finding the right thing to say, and mustering the courage to speak out can be a big deal!

So, when you go through all that only to have someone else jump to the conversation a millisecond after you and drown you out is tough, not to say heartbreaking.
