Life’s Unfair

I feel you, Sarah. I mean, Snow White can have her seven dwarves, but when I express my interest in seven guys (or seven little helpers) I get called all kinds of things. It’s Disney’s fault. They set us up to believe life can be whatever we want, and then society turns around and says, “nope!”

This is “Educa,” by John Collier. If you want paintings of gorgeous women, Educa isn’t even his best work. Personally, I’m rather fond of “Lilith,” his 1887 oil on canvas, or “An Incantation.” He’s also done a rendition of “The Death of Cleopatra.” He’s… very good, to say the least. Very, very good.
