A Medieval Cat

The bottom left painter can be forgiven, as that’s obviously a stylistic choice. The rest? Hoo-boy. I don’t even know what to say. They got a decent description, I suppose. There are ears, fur, and a tail. It does beg the question of what in the heck they were staring at while painting, though.

Cats should rather be easy to still-life or portrait. They just… lay there 95% of the time. I tried to find an explanation for the upper left and thought I hit the jackpot as it’s “The White Cat” by Pierre Bonnard in the Japonism style, but every painting I saw had necks and proportionate legs. I’ve got nothing. Sorry!
