#15: Unrealistic Expectations
Cartoons convinced us that falling anvils, grand pianos, and comically oversized safes were a daily hazard we’d need to dodge with ninja-like reflexes. Anytime you looked up, it wasn’t for birds or clouds—it was to check for rogue musical instruments plummeting from the sky.

Blame Looney Tunes and Saturday morning TV for painting a world where gravity had a vendetta, and no rooftop was safe. And yet, decades later, no safe has fallen from above. Not one. It’s almost disappointing, honestly.
