#3: Kirk Cameron

Kirk Cameron was most known for playing Mike Seaver in the popular 1985 sitcom Growing Pains. He received two Golde Globe nominations for his performance on the show, which ran for seven seasons. During his time on Growing Pains, Cameron became a devout, born-again Christian. When he felt uncomfortable with certain lines that clashed with his faith, he asked for them to be changed. 

After several more film and television appearances, Cameron eventually turned his attention away from acting and began to focus on becoming a full-time author, as well as a religious activist. His most recent work includes numerous Christian documentaries. He and his family also host an annual, all-expenses-paid summer camp for terminally ill children and their families called Camp Firefly.
