Ellen DeGeneres

Today Ellen DeGeneres may be known for wearing suits on her talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show and for red-carpet events, but there was a time when she wore dresses. For her high school prom, for instance, she chose to wear a dress instead. Ellen gained notoriety for her humor and even had a sitcom called Ellen back in the 1990s.

It looks like Ellen and her prom date coordinated for the occasion. Ellen selected a long patterned dress, while her date wore lavender pants and a button-down with a maroon suit jacket and bow tie. Quite the unique ensemble, but this was the ‘70s, after all!
