Jayne Mansfield will always be considered a Hollywood legend. Despite her short-lived career, during the fifties she was considered one of the most beautiful women on the silver screen, and her controversial lifestyle, her numerous love affairs and her famous wardrobe malfunctions were constantly covered by media.

Mansfield was married three times and had five children, including actress Mariska Hargitay, born in 1964 – whom you probably recognize from her long-lasting role as Olivia Benson in the popular NBC drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Hargitay has been a part of the cast since 1999, and this role inspired her to found the Joyful Heart Foundation, a foundation that supports victims of sexual abuse.
