In a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, La La Anthony, I opened up about her habit of nonstop hustling. “I’m just a hustler. I don’t know anything else!” she shared. “It keeps me happy, and I’ve come to see it as a kind of therapy—but also as a crutch to avoid dealing with other things in my life.”

She was struck by an Instagram post saying, “Staying busy is a trauma response.” It resonated deeply. “I worry that if I slow down, everything else will catch up to me. So I keep working, working, working,” she admitted.
