Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman – 50 years
Half a century of life seems like an incredibly long time, and half a century of marriage seems even longer! Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman met back in 1953 while performing the play Picnic on Broadway. But they didn’t get together and fall in love until they starred in the film The Long Hot Summer together.

In 1958, Joanne and Paul tied the knot. The actor brought three children from his previous marriage with Jaqueline Witte into his relationship with Joanne. Then the pair had three more daughters together. Joanne and Paul’s marriage lasted happily until his death of cancer at age 83.
