According to the CDC, approximately 4.7% of adults have confessed to suffering from regular feelings of depression. However, that still means that we should treat those with this illness with respect instead of rejecting them like this group of friends did to one Reddit user. These people are not friends at all.

Friends are meant to be there for you through thick and thin. That means they should help uplift you when you’re sad while also supporting you through difficult times. It’s not clear what made this Reddit user “mopy and depressed,” but that’s certainly no way to treat someone you call a friend.
