An Award-Winning Poem

Teachers are always looking out for their students, encouraging their students to follow their passions and finding opportunities to challenge and showcase what they are learning. For this person, the decision to enter a poetry competition due to their teacher’s encouragement ended up changing their life in a huge and unexpected way.

This person entered a poetry competition because of their teacher. They won the competition, which led to the publication of their poem. A girl reached out a few months later because she had to analyze it for an exam. They met up to discuss the poem and ended up dating and getting engaged!
