Pharmacist Saves the Town’s Cows
There are a lot of professions that can provide extremely positive results for their communities, such as doctors and teachers. Sometimes, just doing your job means a great deal to the people around you, and they, in return, will go out of their way to return the favor – and that favor may just save your life.

This person’s grandfather was a Jewish pharmacist living in Romania in the 1940s. The town’s cow herds were developing a deadly illness that the pharmacist was able to cure. The town was so grateful that the Chief of Police gave to pharmacist train tickets for him and his wife to leave ahead of the Nazis’ arrival in their town.
