Sometimes, one small thing doesn’t just change your life – it saves your life! It’s crazy how something as mundane as updating insurance information can have lifesaving consequences. The only reason that this person called their heart surgeon when they did is that they had to update their new insurance information.

When speaking with the receptionist, they learned that there was a cancelation, meaning they could be seen a full month before their original appointment. After the surgeon was able to operate, he told this person that it was a good thing they came in when they did because they wouldn’t have survived long enough to make the original appointment!
