The Forgotten Briefcase

We all run late to work sometimes – either because we oversleep, get caught in traffic, or maybe forget something important on the way to work and have to turn back. For whatever reason, these little delays can have big consequences. They might even be the reason you are alive to read this.

For this person one of their classmates had a father who had a meeting at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The father had forgotten his briefcase, which had important stuff needed for the meeting, so he had to turn back. Because he ran late, he wasn’t in the buildings when the first plane hit, likely saving his life.
