What’s up, buddy? Or should I say, what’s down, acquaintance? If you’ve ever wondered why you nod your head in different directions depending on who you’re greeting, you’re not alone. When we nod our head down towards someone, it’s a sign of respect and acknowledgement, but also a way of creating distance. But, when we nod our head up towards someone, it’s a sign of familiarity and closeness. It suggests that we’re comfortable with the person.
