Hearst, William, the founder of the Hearst Corporation, a media conglomerate, is the grandfather of Anne Hearst, a socialite and philanthropist. Anne’s father, Randolph, was once the president of the corporation. In 1974, her sister Patty was infamously kidnapped by members of the Symbionese Liberation Army.

Princess Grace currently presides over The Princess Grace Foundation, a charitable organization. She is a board member for the Hearst Castle Preservation, which works to protect and preserve historical sites, and was a founding member of the Rita Hayworth Gala’s Steering Committee. She has been married three times, and has been with her third husband, novelist and screenwriter Jay McInereny, since 2006. McInereny is an alumnus of Williams College.
