#6: New York City is Home
After Donald Trump won the presidency in November 2016, Barron and Melania stayed in New York rather than immediately moving into the White House. Melania decided to remain at Trump Tower so Barron could finish the school year uninterrupted at Columbia Grammar.

This was seen as an effort to stabilize him during a massive life transition. They eventually relocated to Washington, D.C., in June 2017. The delay marked the first time a first lady and child immediately chose not to move into the White House.
