#35: Rancid Rope
We’ve seen stone walls and wood walls, and now we have the worst offender of all: rope walls. Remember how we talked about the rope can’t be properly cleaned when we looked at the handle made of the same material? Now you’ve got that problem across an entire restaurant wall.

Again, the rope is completely unfinished and raw. Hempen rope like this is super absorbent; any humidity and steam in the room will sink into those fibers and stay there. The corners where the sections of rope meet will be crusted with dirt, dust, and whatever else decides to take up residence. Personally, I’ll be taking a seat as far from this wall as possible.
