9th Place – New Jersey
New Jersey had a double whammy of victories to cheer about when WalletHub’s rankings were unveiled. Not only did they snag a coveted spot in the top ten of America’s most educated states, but they also claimed the crown for the smallest education gap between men and women. It’s a moment of triumph for the Garden State, showing that they’re not just about boardwalks and beaches, but brains too!

Despite its many charms, the Garden State didn’t exactly sparkle in all areas. When the spotlight was turned towards educational disparities based on race, New Jersey found itself in an unimpressive 34th place. Similarly, the universities’ quality was akin to a dull diamond, securing them a modest 25th spot in the national ranking. It seems there’s still some polishing to do in the education sector of this otherwise vibrant state.
