#7: Don’t Assume

It’s definitely hard to understand children sometimes, and I’m not talking about understanding their needs and behavior – but literally understanding them. So, when you work with kids, it only makes sense that you’ll have a hard time understanding them sometimes… right?

When this woman thought one of the kids said his name was “Weed,” she thought it was weird, but she figured stranger things had happened. She just assumed his parents weren’t in their right mind when they chose his name. And so she went on calling him “Weed” for three days until she realized her mistake.
