Misunderstandings can happen not only verbally but also in a written conversation. The story below, shared by a Reddit user, is a great example of that. This person probably scanned through the post quickly, and being a Potterhead, his mind probably completed the word he wanted to see.

And just like that, he confused the word “pothead” with “Potterhead.” A Potterhead is a fanatic fan of the Harry Potter books written by J.K. Rowling, while a pothead is, well, a person who smokes pot. It’s definitely not the most embarrassing story on the list, and the fact that it was only a Facebook post and not a face-to-face exchange alleviates some of the awkwardness if you ask us.
