Nurses are the absolute best of us, and their job is painfully underrated. I can see one jumping out of the stands to ensure a high school kid was okay after being hit with a baseball. Still, they sometimes forget to take care of themselves, as is evidenced by this tweet.

Not one but two broken ankles? That’s rough! I hope the community has found an appropriate way to thank her. Going above and beyond only to not be able to even hobble around the house for a month or two sounds awful. I bet she’ll double-check for stairs from here on out, no matter where she is or who’s in trouble.
