It’s the Hard Dog’s Life

In the past, the phrase “it’s a dog’s life” was used to describe the miserable existence of a hard-working individual who never gets to see the fruits of his hard labor. Today, however, in some circles the phrase has acquired a new meaning; some people use it to describe a life of indulgence, like a pampered dog who sleeps all day and enjoys the hard work of his humans.

In this case, the dog in the picture definitely matches the second interpretation of the phrase. He lives in a gorgeous brick house on the lake, with his very own balcony overlooking the lake and the breathtaking view, where he can rest all day and put his troubles to rest (if he even has any). It’s embarrassing to admit, but we’re pretty jealous of this dog.
