Ned Flanders, from the long-running animated series The Simpsons, is one of the most recognizable and endearing characters on the show, aside from the Simpson family. Voiced by Harry Shearer, Ned is known for his devout religiosity, cheerful demeanor, and his famous catchphrase, “Hi-diddly-ho, neighboring!”

Interestingly, the character of Ned Flanders was inspired by a real-life person, the creator of The Simpsons, Matt Groening’s childhood neighbor, whose excessively cheerful and overly polite personality served as the basis for the character. We wonder if he looked anything like this AI depiction of the iconic character.
