#26: Pocahontas
Pocahontas, Disney’s (only) Native American princess, is known for her unique characteristics and the groundbreaking nature of her story. With her striking ebony hair, expressive brown eyes, and traditional Native American attire, Pocahontas represents a break from the traditional Disney princess mold.

As you may or may not know, her character was inspired by the real-life historical figure Matoaka, who was later given the nickname Pocahontas, meaning “playful one.” Her story highlights themes of tolerance, environmentalism, and the importance of following one’s own path, making her a cherished figure in Disney’s diverse lineup of princesses.
