#18: Annabelle – The Conjuring
Annabelle, the creepy doll featured in the Conjuring horror film series, is known for her eerie and unsettling appearance. She takes the form of a vintage porcelain doll with rosy cheeks, long dark hair, and a white dress. You may be surprised to learn that the real-life inspiration for the horrifying doll was a Raggedy Ann doll, not the porcelain figure portrayed in the films.

The real Annabelle doll is said to be kept in a glass case at the Warrens’ Occult Museum in Connecticut, known for its purported paranormal artifacts. The film version, however, played up the doll’s menacing look for added horror. Annabelle has become an iconic figure in the horror genre, with her terrifying presence sending chills down the spines of moviegoers around the world.
