#9: Cher and Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia!

Cher joined the second Mamma Mia! movie to play Meryl Streep’s mom. Totally normal, right? Not really. The actresses are only three years apart. If the casting for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was real-life, Cher would have had to have given birth to Meryl Streep when she was three. 

That’s obviously impossible, so we’ll just leave it to movie magic to wash away these discrepancies. The two actresses don’t share too much screen time in the flick, so their similarity in age isn’t that big of a deal. On top of the weird age gap, both Cher and Meryl Streep look ageless, so it’s hard to believe the two are now in their 70s!
