#34: Liv Tyler and Viggo Mortensen in Lord of the Rings

Lord of the Rings is an iconic fantasy trilogy. However, just because the movie is fantasy doesn’t mean that we have to suspend our belief about everything in the film. Viggo Mortensen and Liv Tyler play Aragorn and Arwen, respectively. Their romance is fictional, but the age difference is not.    

Liv Tyler was only 24 when she starred as Arwen, and Viggo Mortensen was 43 when he started playing Aragorn. The almost 20-year age gap makes this pairing more unbelievable than the fact that it takes place in a fictional world. We do have to say that Viggo looked incredible in the film, no matter his age. Raise your hand if you had a secret crush on Aragorn!
