#28: Sissy Spacek and Betty Buckley in Carrie

The age difference between these two actresses just might blow your mind. Did you know that Sissy Spacek was 26 when she starred as Carrie in the classic Stephen King horror movie of the same name? She looked extremely young for her age, so there was no problem casting her to play the role of the troubled teen. 

Carrie’s gym teacher, Miss Collins, was played by Betty Buckley, who was 29 at the time. The two actresses are only three years apart, but you’d never guess when watching Carrie. They dressed down Sissy Spacek to make her look more youthful and dressed up Betty Buckley to look more mature. Movie magic did the trick, and audiences were none the wiser when the movie premiered.
