#22: Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones in Entrapment

The age difference between Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sean Connery in Entrapment is one of the most substantial in recent history. The 1999 film stars a 29-year-old Catherine alongside Sean Connery, who was 68 at the time. The two play love interests, which probably wouldn’t fly in today’s pop culture environment. There would at least be a few think pieces published about it. 

Sure, Sean Connery was a silver fox during his older years, but a 39-year age difference is too much for even the most diehard movie fan to buy into. But maybe we shouldn’t be too hard on this off-putting age gap. In real life, Catherine Zeta-Jones has been married for over two decades to Michael Douglas. He’s 25 years older than her, but it seems to work.
