#19: Amber Heard and Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary

After the long trial and all the sordid accusations surrounding Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, it’s easy to forget that the two met on the set of a movie. Ironically, they played a romantically-involved couple in The Rum Diary, which came out in 2011. Life imitated art, and the two became an item in real life. 

We all know how this relationship ended, but at the time, it seemed like a Hollywood fairytale. Never mind that there is a substantial 23-year age gap between the two of them. They played it off in The Rum Diary, where their characters end up getting married. Unfortunately, their IRL relationship didn’t exactly end the same way.
