#18: John Travolta and Stockard Channing in Grease
Looking back, it’s hard to believe that any of the leading actors in Grease could pass for high schoolers. Even Olivia Newton-John was well into her 20s when she starred as fresh-faced, goody-two-shoes Sandy Olsson. However, one of the biggest age discrepancies in the whole cast was between John Travolta and Stockard Channing.

John Travolta was 23, and Stockard Channing was 33 when they starred as Danny Zuko and Rizzo, respectively. They both looked great in the film, but we don’t think anyone bought the fact that these two were “real” high school students, even back in the 70s. Despite this glaring inconsistency, Grease is such a classic that the actors in the film go together like ramma lamma lamma… okay, we’ll stop now.
