#17: Will Ferrell and Pierce Brosnan in Eurovision

Pierce Brosnan and Will Ferrell were the father-son duo we didn’t know we needed until Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga came out in 2020. Pierce Brosnan plays Will Ferrell’s dad in this comedy musical, and it somehow makes perfect sense even though the two actors are close in age. 

Pierce is about 14 years older than Will, which isn’t nothing. However, it’s a close enough age difference to make the whole father-son relationship totally implausible in real life. The actors and filmmakers probably realized this fact, so Pierce’s gray hair and substantial beard added to his character’s gravitas. If it works, it works.
