#12: The Assassination of Olof Palme
When you are a person of interest to the public, it is of vital importance to remain under strict security measures because you never know what can happen. Whether it be a disagreement in ideals or even disrespect for someone, people will always find a motive to hurt someone with power. And in 1986, the president of Sweden, Olof Palme, was murdered on an evening walk with his wife in Stockholm, Lisbeth Palme.

While it might seem like an easy crime to solve, considering Palme was shot on the street, the only suspect in the crime was Christer Petterson, who ended up being acquitted due to a lack of motive and not having the means to find a weapon. Therefore the murder of the Swedish prime minister remains a mystery… However, many different theories have arisen since.
