Being a child before iPods and even Walkmans, the idea of being able to drive around listening to your own music was completely novel. So, when the CD cassette adaptor was created, it seemed like a gift from the gods. It seemed almost impossible to be able to do such a thing. How naive were we?

We remember plugging this into our vehicle for the first time and being able to listen to our CDs. Of course, cars then came with their own CD tray, before these were soon removed with the rise of Bluetooth and software like CarPlay. Kids today won’t know the pleasure of plugging one of these in!
