18. The Winter Style Always Gets You

This makes me sad. It’s true, but it makes me sad. Coats are such a fashion statement when you have nice ones, but for some reason, when it’s just that cold, you won’t find a nice one that’s warm. It’s the seasonal style evolution. Why is it that winter fashion often feels like choosing between looking like an abominable snowperson or becoming an actual ice sculpture?

Spring flings around with its breezy dresses, and summer pops with colors that scream fun in the sun. Fall whispers sweet nothings with its scarves and boots, but winter? Winter screams a muffled cry from beneath layers of wool and down, bemoaning the loss of all style under the tyranny of the chill.
